aur saale sab bekaar baithe the ...
'Tata', 'Birla', ki baaten,
par sab berozgaar baithe the ...

Ek 'class' kaa 'topper' tha,
ek ki 4 me 'back' thi ...
Ek kaa baap 'havaldaar' tha,
to ek ki har 'department' me 'jack' thi ...

'Girl Firend' ek ki hoti thi,
magar khush saare hote the ...
'Cycle' ek ki gandi hoti thi,
magar saare dhote the ...

Kisi ki shushmita, to kisi ki janvi,
sab dil haar baithe the ...
jab chaar yaar baithe the,
aur saale sab bekaar baithe the ...

Ladayi ek ki hoti thi,
ladne saare jaate the ...
yaa to saare maar khate the,
yaa saare maar ke aate the ...

Vo 10 ke 5 gol-gappe,
vo 10 rupaye kaa burger ...
Vo subah kaa doctor - doctor,
aur vo shaam kaa ghar - ghar ...

Bahut aage nikal gaya waqt,
bahut aage nikal aaye hum ...
Tez daudte - daudte,
bahut kuch peeche chodd aaye hum ...

Yaa khuda, ye waqt ki majburiyan,
khatm kar de ye dooriyaan, Le chal fir vahi ....

Jab ek, Girlfriend se milne andar gaya tha,
aur bahar 3 chaukidaar baithe the ...
Jab chaar yaar baithe the,
aur saale sab bekaar baithe the ...

जब चार यार बैठे थे,
और साले सब बेकार बैठे थे ...
'टाटा', 'बिरला', की बातें,
पर सब बेरोज़गार बैठे थे ...

एक 'class' का 'topper' था,
एक की 4 मे 'back' थी ...
एक का बाप 'हवलदार' था,
तो एक की हर department मे 'jack' थी ...

'Girlfriend' एक की होती थी,
मगर खुश सारे होते थे ...
'Cycle' एक की गंदी होती थी,
मगर सारे धोते थे ...

किसी की शुषमिता, तो किसी की जानवी,
सब दिल हार बैठे थे ...
जब चार यार बैठे थे,
और साले सब बेकार बैठे थे ...

लड़ाई एक की होती थी,
लड़ने सारे जाते थे ...
या तो सारे मार खाते थे,
या सारे मार के आते थे ...

वो 10 के 5 गोल-गप्पे,
वो 10 रुपये का बर्गर ...
वो सुबह का डॉक्टर - डॉक्टर,
और वो शाम का घर - घर ...

बहुत आगे निकल गया वक़्त,
बहुत आगे निकल आए हम ...
तेज़ दौड़ते - दौड़ते,
बहुत कुछ पीछे छोड़ आए हम ...

या खुदा, ये वक़्त की मजबूरियाँ,
ख़त्म कर दे ये दूरियाँ, ले चल फिर वहीं ....

जब एक, 'girlfriend' से मिलने अंदर गया था,
और बाहर 3 चौकीदार बैठे थे ...
जब चार यार बैठे थे,
और साले सब बेकार बैठे थे ...
