Usne hothon me apne, sharab chupa rakhi hai ...
Usne kaajal me apne, vo raat chupa rakhi hai ...

Jo sawal puche kuch, uski adaon pe humne,
To danto tale usne ek muskaan chupa rakhi hai...

Kam se kam jalti rahi ye, vo jab tak kareeb thi,
in kamzor shammaon ne ek shaam chupa rakhi hai ...

Aur bikhar gayi masumiyat raat dhalte dhalte,
bistar ki in silwaton ne ek pechaan chupa rakhi hai ...

उसने होठों में अपने, शराब छुपा रखी है ...
उसने काजल मे अपने, वो रात छुपा रखी है ...

जो सवाल पूछे कुछ, उसकी अदाओं पे हमने,
तो दाँतो तले उसने एक मुस्कान छुपा रखी है...

कम से कम जलती रही ये, वो जब तक करीब थी,
इन कमज़ोर शम्माओं ने एक शाम छुपा रखी है ...

और बिखर गयी मासूमियत रात ढलते ढलते,
बिस्तर की इन सिलवटों ने एक पचान छुपा रखी है ...
