A Wednesday Evening

Coming back from work, as I open the door, he asks me, “What did you do today?” I ignored as usual, set some tea on the stove and went to change my clothes. My clothes are sort of good you know - all that classy and soft fabric you must have seen in the market - something of that sort. However, once I remove them, my body is quite not worth a sight. No not because, I took a gym’s quarterly membership, but went just for one day.

Tea is ready !! The colour and the essence takes me back to a time, where a cup of this costs some 7 rupees. Where there are mountains I wish to climb, there is a tree I often sit underneath, there is a cycle that is my only companion, there is a girl I love, there is a friend, today I fought for and there is a family that I care about. He again asked me, “Where are they?”

Two Sips !! The taste reminds me of a boy travelling in a bus on a chilled December night, a small room temporarily made in the midst of a veranda using aluminium planks on two sides and brick walls on the other two sides. There is a trouser, hanging in a stuffed almirah, an almirah which is too small to store his belongings, however, he kept a separate rack just for his Gods, “things happen for a reason”, he said. There are some coins in the trouser, that counted to 10, another cup of tea is what he purchased with them.

Then there are rains when he's walking on terrace, there are friends who fought for him today, there are women who love him and a family that cares for him. “What happened to them?”, this time he tried to be more genuine, as if he was really interested to know.

Cup is empty !! I shook my head, noticeably, acting to come back to reality. “I have to send today’s report to the boss”, I answered to the person in the mirror and rushed towards my laptop. “I wish, you ever send a report to yourself, of what happened to you today”, the man in the mirror was still there, adamantly refusing to accept the reality.

Why You Should Start Studying ? : 7 Most Practical Reasons !!

Hello Folks! Welcome to the time of sleepless nights and bathless days. When Chai & Coffee bills increase like anything and When the guy at the "PhotoCopy" shop becomes our best friend. Welcome To EXAMS ... !!

Since our childhood we have been fed with thousands of reasons as, "Why we Should Study ?" From Leisure, to Money, to a Comfortable Lifestyle, our parents have tried to boost us up with every possible perk. But today I have tried to provide you guys, 7 Most Practical Reasons as, "Why we Should Start Studying ?"

1. Life is Good in a 4 BHK with Dolby surround sound, and Central AC: Well, starting with few most common answers. All that we are enjoying today is because our parents our earning. But what after we are 25 !! So start studying to keep on enjoying all those luxurious settings.

2. A Beautiful Wife: How many times does it happen that you see an "Angel" like girl, with a "Black Mamba" type guy [No Offenses, I am no racist -_-], and drop your jaw with a sighing feedback, "Yaar isko ye kaise mil gayi .. !!" Well, Welcome to reality, "Money Rules The World." There comes a time, when our so called "Bimbos" are smart enough to make a life long lasting choice. So start studying, to have a beautiful wife, if you are relying on an arranged marriage. :P

3. Marry Your Love: This is one of my favorite points, "One of the best feelings in the world is when your GirlFriend becomes your wife." So start studying if you want to Marry Your Love. It's a bitter reality of life my dear "Love can't pay bills". It's good that you love her, but to keep her, you have to earn. And I guess, the priceless love at least deserves this much. ;)

4. Your Honeymoon "Paris or Palampur": Indeed a very important point. Man! You have to study at least for this. If you can stay awake a few nights now, then you will decide the nights after marriage will be in "Paris or Palampur", "Switzerland or Shimla", "Malaysia or Musoorie".

5. A Lamborghini: Well, that's my choice, you can dream about your favorites. If you want to buy that "White Beauty", start studying, because it costs some "Bloody 2.5 god damn crores at least".

6. Pay Bills on a Family Dinner/Outing: Again, one of my Favorites. Our parents have been paying for us since past many years. Imagine the feeling, when you can hold your father's hand and say, "I can pay today .." :) . Remember when you were ill, they arranged the best possible treatment, they will need you the same way, a few years from now, prepare yourself to be a good son/daughter.

7. Live Life King Size: Walk Like your own master, Talk like a personality and Live like a King, everyone wants all this. Fortunately OR Unfortunately, You have to "WorkHard" for all this. ;) :)

Things are not that difficult, they never were, Rather, we are the ones who make them tough. I remember once, one of my teachers told me in 8th standard when he saw me practicing signatures at the end of my notebook,

" 'Scratch' your Pens Now, so that you can enjoy 'Signing' in the future, AND if you will waste time 'Signing' Now, You have to 'Scratch' your Pens in Future."

It's all about the choices we make ...

They said you are dumb, he made a choice. They said you are ugly, she made a choice. They said you are useless, he made a choice. They said you are a "girl", she made a choice. She cheated him, he made a choice. He dumped her, she made a choice. They said you are poor, he made a choice. They said you are weak, she made a choice. After all those years, we look back and say, "It's all about the choices we make".

When all of them said, "You can't win all those titles, nobody has even ever dared to do so ...", I made a choice and I won everything I participated in. They said, "You don't know how to recite a poetry ...", I made a choice and now people like more to hear me as compared to read my poetries. There is a friend of mine, his father is at the rank of "Havaldaar" (with due respect) in the Indian Army, he chose to be an "Army officer", currently he is in his 2nd year at NDA. See, it's all about the choices we make.

"Life is a path that leads you to a destination. You have to make a choice you want to travel by foot, on a Rajdoot, on a Royal Enfield, on a Maruti 800 or on a Lamborghini."
A guy was ditched by a girl, she went with someone else who had a bike and a wealthy father. The guy had to make a choice either sit in a beer bar, spend nights dreaming about her and end his life. Or follow up his college and classroom from the very next day and become a man of virtue, wealth and respect. He made a choice. :)

A guy once approached a publisher to publish his stories and his writings, that too free of cost and if the publisher gets a good response he can pay him something afterwards. The "busy" publisher refused. Guy requested him at least review my work once, at least see once, what I have written. May be you would like it. But the publisher refused. The guy had two options, either stop writing as there was no way to make any living through it or start publishing on his own. He made a choice. :)

The guy who was ditched by that girl is now a billionaire and soon will be marrying one of his colleagues and the girl who ditched him, is married to a central government employee, who earns 30,000 rupees per month. Leaves his home at 9 am and comes back at 6 in the evening daily from past 5 years.

The other guy started his own website and started publishing his stories. Currently he is one the most renowned script writers in Bollywood and has written several novels.

See, it's all about the choices we make ... :)

There was a person who used to sell spices in the middle east, he took risks, started a refinery. His colleagues told him that it's very risky. He made a choice, The person was Dhirubhai Ambani.

A guy used to work at Amazon, with top quality education and experience. He decided to leave the job and start his own company. He made a choice. His company is currently the top e-commerce company of India. The person is Sachin Bansal and the company is Flipkart.

This 13 year old boy used to sell cold drink in factories and used to deliver newspapers early in the morning. He made a choice. After a few years, He bought the newspaper publishing house and currently he is one of the richest men in the world. The name is Warren Buffett.

When I talk about making choices, I necessarily doesn't mean, that just by becoming someone like Warren Buffett or Sachin Bansal you can become happy. Happiness lies in everything, Sometimes, as tiny as a butterfly or sometimes as big as the full moon. Why should you give a damn if someone says that you are skinny or fat. Why should you start applying all those lotions and creams just because he says that you are too dark. Oh C'mon, give it a break, make a choice. Choose what "you" want to be, choose how "you" want to look and become what "you" want to be.

A mom feels happy when her children achieve great heights. A father feels happy when his son starts earning. A chef feels happy, when a random customer walks into his kitchen just to hug him and say "You have magic in your hands".  A student feels happy when a teacher introduces him to others as, "He is my student :)". A teacher feels happy when his/her student introduces him to the world as "He is my teacher :) :)". A girl feels happy, when her boy kisses her on the forehead. A guy feels happy when his girl spares him from the late night talks and allows him to watch "FIFA". They feel happy in all these small yet valuable things, it's all because these are the choices they have made.

So friends, it's all about the choices we make, make a choice, Choose to be Smart, Choose to be Sexy, Choose to be Successful, Choose to be Wealthy, Choose to be Beautiful, Choose to be Happy ... :)
